My story with boots began when I was two years old, with a small red pair that I wore with more pride than I understood at the time. Even then, those boots meant more than leather and stitching, they were the beginning of an identity.

As I grew older, there was another pair that became my constant companion. They fit like a glove and rarely left my feet. Through long days and everyday moments, they carried me forward and quietly taught me what a great pair of boots should be: dependable, personal and built to last. Those boots weren’t just worn, they were lived in. And they showed me that the right pair of boots becomes part of your story.

Balan Boot Company was created with the principles of the American West and family heritage in mind.  Our great grandfather was a Basque sheep herder who immigrated from France with the values of hard work and the American Dream. We built our boots on faith, shaped by hard work and the promise that a person can build something lasting through both. These boots were made to endure. They will carry the miles you walk, the work you do and the life you build. With time, they will hold your story and become your Western Heirloom.
