Named after Ennis, Montana, where our grandfather Balan built his ranch.

A refined Western classic built for every part of a man’s life. The Ennis is made to be worn on the ranch, at the altar, or on a night out. Crafted from premium full-grain leather and built to last, it’s the kind of boot you’ll rely on for years, and the finest you’ll ever own.

Fit & Break-In Guide

Built to break in, not to wear out

Heel Fit

When putting on your Balan Boots for the first time, you should feel slight resistance until your heel drops into place. This means the instep is doing its job.

Instep Hug

Your boots should feel snug across the top of your foot, like a hug. Not painful, just secure. As the leather breaks in, it will relax and mold to your foot.

Boot Fit

A small amount of heel slip (¼–½ inch) is normal when new and will lessen as the leather molds to your step. Your toes should move freely. Because the toe box won’t stretch, choose a half size up if your toes feel tight.

Built to Break In

Our boots are made from full-grain leather and traditional construction. Your boots are meant to be broken in. They will soften, shape and become uniquely yours with wear over time.

Materials

Great boots start with the finest leather. We use premium full-grain cowhide for both the vamp and shaft—built to last and age with character.

Care

Let boots dry fully after wet or muddy wear. Remove dirt with a horsehair brush or damp cloth, then condition regularly with quality leather conditioner to maintain their finish and longevity.

Sizing

Boots run true to size. Our boots are meant to mold to your foot and stretch in the right places. If you have a wide foot, we recommend sizing up ½ size.
